Derby Asian Christian Ministry Partnership

This partnership, founded in1980, links Anglican, Baptist, Methodist and URC Churches in the south of the City of Derby in their desire to enable Christian ministry among the Asian communities in Derby. DACMP is a Local Ecumenical Partnership. Its aims are:

(i) To encourage and challenge local churches to fulfil their Christian mission among Asians in Derby.
(ii) To promote understanding and information between Christian churches and other Asian faith communities in Derby.
(iii) To promote the pastoral care and teaching of Asian Christians in Derby and to seek their integration with existing churches.
(iv) To engage in, and train others to engage in, sensitive and appropriate evangelism among Asians in Derby.

Full membership of the Partnership is available to any church (being represented on Churches Together in Derbyshire) in the City of Derby who supports the objects of the project and whose place of worship is in an area of significant Asian population or employment. Associate membership is available to any other church in the City of Derby who supports the aim of the project. Applications for membership should be made to the Secretary.
